POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Office Manager at Symphony Park is a pivotal role responsible for leading the administration of both human resources and financial systems, specifically tailored to the unique needs of a hospitality-oriented senior living community. This position requires a blend of expertise in hospitality management, financial oversight, and exceptional interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth operation of our community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Uphold and promote the company's culture and vision, with a strong emphasis on hospitality and resident satisfaction.
- Maintain meticulous records of accounts receivable/payable, payroll, bank deposits, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement efficient business office systems that meet the high standards of our resort community.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with vendors, ensuring contracts are properly filled, signed, and recorded. Ensure payments are made to vendors within the time defined by the contract.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including management, staff, residents, and external partners, regarding financial matters, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Supervise and train supporting staff.
- Maintain coverage of front desk, making sure there is administrative representation during operational hours.
- Manage monthly billing and collection processes for residents, aligning with Symphony Park’s policies and hospitality standards.
- Maintain financial records, with an emphasis on transparency and compliance.
- Oversee the accurate and timely submission of payroll.
- Supervises the process related to employee hires, changes, and terminations (voluntary and involuntary) in terms of submitting appropriate paperwork and personnel files.
- Design comprehensive onboarding programs specific to Symphony Park, ensuring new employees are well-versed in the resort's culture, standards, and operations.
- Conduct engaging orientation sessions for new hires, introducing them to the Symphony Park’s mission, values, and the unique aspects of working in a hospitality-driven senior living environment.
- Assist in the admissions process for new residents, focusing on financial arrangements and ensuring a seamless integration into the community.
- Ensure current and comprehensive business files for both residents and employees, in line with hospitality industry best practices.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a senior living or resort setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to perform standard office duties and meet the physical demands typical in a hospitality environment.
